Objective of this HUET Training
The objectives of the helicopter underwater escape training (HUET). Helicopter underwater escape training is to equip the delegate with the initial knowledge, understanding and arms you with the resources and skills needed to stay safe and escape from a helicopter that has landed in water. By the end of the training with RCES the trainee should be able to:
- To become familiar with the general water survival equipment under a variety of weather conditions
- Hover abandonment and surface evacuation
- Night and smoke exercises, inverted with emergency breathing system
- Partial or off-angle submersion
- Upright and inverted evacuation with casualties
- Aircraft fire extinguisher exercises and life raft or emergency equipment retrieval
- Practical training in under water escape techniques is a key factor in ensuring survival of helicopter crew
- Movement to secondary exits or cross-cabin port, starboard or forward, aft of initial position
- To practice deployment and use of safety equipment such as life-rafts and personal flotation equipment
- Provides a complete water survival training, allowing aircrew to experience underwater escape training
Training Duration:
The helicopter underwater escape training (HUET) training has duration of five (5) days classroom training. This includes classroom presentations, discussion, exercises and role plays.
